Carmella’s Italian Bistro needed labels designed for the launch of their new line of family-recipe pasta sauces. The owners needed something that felt upscale and fresh—their delicious sauces and beautiful restaurant deserved as much—but they also needed to do a modest-sized launch.
We printed the first small run digitally using a textured pressure-sensitive wine-label face stock. The tactile feel of the wine-label stock felt substantial and the bold and clean graphics created a bit of category disruption on the shelf.
The label won first place in the digital labels category in the 25th Annual packagePRINTING Excellence Awards. But more importantly, sales have been incredible and they continue to expand their product offerings.
